Maitum Sarangani (October 9, 2012) – Raul Rivera of the Philippine Speleological Society, Inc. (PSSI) conducts training on single rope basic techniques to 20 experienced cavers during the second day of the 7th Mindanao Caving Forum at Malalag Central Elementary School Friday, October 5. The caving forum which aims to share skills, knowledge, and experience in cave management and protection was conducted by the PSSI through its partnership with the Sarangani Bay Outdoors Club, Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), and the local government unit of Maitum as host. The forum was participated in by over 150 participants coming from the DENR, Department of Tourism, Philippine Cave Guides Association, Bat Conservation International, provincial government unit of Sarangani, and the local government units around SocSarGen and Mindanao.
